Everything okay at Ruth Ann's house. Stan may have been in the path of something ?? He has a large field on the west side of his property so wind might
have had a good run at his house etc ?? Think northwest Alabama, where he is, may have been in a path of at least wind

We did fine down here in Alabaster Dan - Got wet but nothing as serious as the folks to our West were dealing with. Thanks for asking.

Every thing's fine on this side, but the folks just 30 miles to the SE of us in Lawrence county got it bad. So did Jackson county, Al and Jackson,TN. Last
report was confirmed 30 dead and 100+ injured in Tn, but is expected to go higher as they clear off more properties.

I have a cousin, his wife and several of his children that live in Memphis. I have an email to them to see how they fared. I understand that they got some bad
stuff there also. We can pray for those folks and hope all goes well for them and their families.

Good news from Cuz.....
They watched the tornado go through Memphis on TV. The camera was on top of the Hilton. It was coming towards it but veered off to the east and headed northeast. Had it went over the Hilton it would have hit them but went about four miles from them. No damage, just the usual outside the tornado stuff, wind, rain, etc. Sure glad to hear from them an all is okay. Now we got's to do some praying for those folks that weren't so lucky. Goods news, Bill.
We also have distant family in Memphis area but no word from them yet. It seems to be a hot area for tornado's in Memphis. The last time we were there was in April '06 on our way to Eureka Springs, AR. We were about 10 miles east of Memphis on I-40 when the weather turned bad in a hurry. We looked up ahead and saw a tornado cross over the interstate about a mile or two ahead of us. If it had not been lightning so much, we might not have seen it. I backed off and let it run it's course, then high tailed it to Little Rock for the night. Stan

Stan - we had about the same experience in that area except there was no tornado.
Our last motorcycle trip to Hatfield Ar we were traveling west on I 40 out of Memphis, past West Memphis and ran slap up on a sure nuff storm, blowing and raining buckets of water. It got so bad we stopped in the first little town (forget the name) and got a motel. They let me park the Moonbeam up on the sidewalk where the building was shielding it from the storm. We spent the night then rode on the Ar in beautiful weather It shore can storm in that area ! Don't know if it's the Mississippi River that promotes it or ??
