How hard is it to put ISO grips on? Is there a special way to take off the factory grips? I want to replace mine with the ISO grips. 2008 Kawasaki 1600
meanstreak is what I have now. Any help and guidance will be helpful. Thanks

The easiest way is to use an air compressor with a blower. Just start on the inside and blast air under the grip, working around the grip/ As the air seperates
the grip from the handle bar force the blower tip under the grip and keep on blasting. It will come loose and you can slide the grip off with out destroying
the stock grip. A razor blade works fine if you don't have access to an air compressor. Just cut them off. Follow the instructions on the ISO grips to
install. Nothing to it.

Personally, I prefer not to use grip glue to put the Iso grips on with. If you ever needed to remove them again it would destroy them if glue is used. I prefer
to use aerosol hairspray instead. When you get the old grips off, then clean off as much excess glue residue from the handle bars as you can. Then spray the
bar ends with a generous amount of hairspray. While still wet push the new grips onto the bar ends and let dry overnight.
Another favorite method of mine is to wet the inside of the grips and the bar ends with a 10% dish detergent solution in water. Spray the solution in the new grip and on the bar end. Immediately install the grips while still wet, then let dry 24 hours or overnight. You'd be surprised at how well these methods holds. If you make a mistake, or you want to re-position them again, then just remove with clean water while prying outwards on the grip with a small flathead screwdriver, and then re-install again. These methods are per the local shop that I use and I have been doing one or the other for several years with good results every time. Stan

I am still waiting on a luggage rack I ordered from JC Whitneys.............dang thing ain't gonna ship until July! If I had known that, I would have ordered it from somewhere else! Oh well, the special order tank pad should be here in a few more days. But, I really need the rack! Having to use a backpack is not my idea of hauling stuff. lol
